Use this sheet to choose the export file format and to select the file name where you want to export to.
Specifies the file format of the export file. Possible values are:

TMX | Data is exported into a TMX file (.tmx) |
TBX | Data is exported into a TBX file (.tbx) |
XLIFF | Data is exported into an XLIFF file (.xlf) |
Excel 2007 or later | Data is exported into an Excel 2007 file (.xlsx) |
Excel 97-2003 | Data is exported into an Excel 97-2003 file (.xls) |
OpenDocument Spreadsheet | Data is exported into an OpenDocument Spreadsheet file (.ods) |
Text | Data is exported into a text file (.txt) |
JSON | Data is exported into several JSON files (.json). There is one file (e.g. sample.json ) that contains the original string values. Then there is one addition file (e.g. sample_de.json ) for each language. |
Resx | Data is exported into several Resx files (.resx). There is one file (e.g. sample.resx ) that contains the original string values. Then there is one addition file (e.g. sample.de.resx ) for each language. |
Specifies the export file name. Type the value or click ... to browse a file.
Specifies additional options except range and languages.
Options | Description |
---|---|
Escape special characters | If checked, the special characters such as line feed and carriage return are escaped using C/C++ escape encoding. |
Original placeholders | If checked, the placeholders are exported as in the original file (e.g. %s). If unchecked, the placeholders are exported in the universal form (e.g. {0}). |
Do not export rows that have no translations | If checked, also those rows that do not have any translations are exported. If unchecked, rows that do not have any translations are skipped. |
Use alternative original values | If checked, the original values in the exported file use the alternative original language. This is enabled only if the project has the alternative original language specified. |
Sorting combo specifies if and how data in the exported file is sorted. Possible values are:
Value | Description |
---|---|
Not sorted | Data is not sorted but remains in the order it exists in the project. |
Sorted using alphabetic order | Data is alphabetically sorted. |
Sorted using natural order | Like above, but a natural sorting order is used. |
Specifies the part of the project that is exported. Possible values are:
Format | Description |

Complete project | The whole project is exported |
Selected node | Only the selected node is exported |
Current view | Only the current view (e.g., what is visible on the sheet) is exported |
Range and languages together specify the rows and columns that are exported.
Specifies the documents that are exported. This is visible only when exporting from a translation memory or from a glossary.
Specifies the language columns that are exported. Check those languages that you want to export. Uncheck those languages that you don't want to export.
