Translate Wizard - Properties |
Use this sheet of Translate Wizard to select a translation method, exchange format, and exchange filter for each language.
Select how the selected language is going to be translated and how the translation package is going to be delivered. Possible values are:
Value | Description | |
---|---|---|
Do not send this language to be translated | This language is not translated. Either you translate this language yourself, or you choose not to translate this language at the moment. | |
Send translation package manually as a file | Create a translation package file that you can send to your translator. If you use this method, you have a translator that translates your strings. You can choose the format of the translation package to make sure that you send the strings in the format that your translator can handle. | |
Upload translation package to cloud | Upload translations to Soluling's cloud-based translation service. Soluling cloud notifies your translators. Translators use Soluling web application to enter translations. |
|
Order translations from professional translators | Order translations from our professional translator. The job usually takes from a day to a few days depending on the number of your strings and the translation quality you choose. |
Some translation methods support multiple file formats. Use the Format combo box to select the format you want to use.
Select the exchange package format. This must be compatible with the editing tool of the translator. Following formats are supported:
Format | Description |
---|---|
Soluling project | The exchange package is a Soluling project file (.ntp). If your translator does not have a Soluling license, she can download a free translator's edition from our home pages. This is the recommended format when sending data to a translator. |
Soluling package | The exchange package is a Soluling exchange file (.ntpx) that contains the project file and optionally source files and the files needed to handle them. If your translator does not have a Soluling license, she can download a free translator's edition from our home pages. Use this instead of a Soluling project if you want to include the source and library file into the exchange package. Include them allows the translator to build localized files and test them. |
XLIFF | The exchange package is an XLIFF file (.xlf). Use this if your translator uses an XLIFF compatible editing tool such as Trados. |
TMX | The exchange package is a TMX file (.tmx). Use this if your translator uses a TMX compatible editing tool such as Trados. |
Text | The exchange package is a text file (.txt). Use this if your translator uses a text editor such as Notepad. |
Excel 2007 or later | The exchange package is an Excel 2007 file (.xlsx). Use this if your translator uses an Excel 2007 or later. |
Excel 97-2003 | The exchange package is an Excel 97-2003 file (.xls). Use this if your translator uses old Excel. |
OpenDocument Spreadsheet | The exchange package is an OpenDocument Spreadsheet file (.ods). Use this if your translator uses Open Office. |
Depending on the selected translate method, the above list may only contain some or even one format.
This sheet is visible if the settings of the selected format do not fit in the Translate method and format sheet. Use the Settings sheet to specify the exchange settings.
Select a filter that is used to choose what rows are included in the translation package.
