Machine Translation

Machine Translation

Use this sheet to configure project-specific machine translators. You can use the shared machine translators shared with all your projects and add project-specific machine translators.

Select shared machine translators that you want to use in this project

Shared machine translators are machine translators that you configure in the Options ribbon. They can be used in all your projects. Check those machine translators that you want to use. You can change the order by clicking Move up and Move down.

If you send the project file to a translator, she might not have the same machine translator configured. If you want to make sure that she can use the same machine translator, add it as a project-specific machine translator using the group box below.

You can also add project-specific machine translators that are used only with this project

Click Edit to edit the selected machine translator. Click Add to add a new machine translator. A list of available machine translators will show. If you want to select a machine translator based on the features, choose Select by features from the list. Otherwise, select a machine translator from the list. Click Remove the remove the selected machine translator.

Click Import to import machine translators from an exported file. Click Export to export current settings into a file.

Click Move Up to move the selected item one step up. Click Move Down to move the selected item one step down. Ctrl+Up is a shortcut for Move Up. Ctrl+Down is a shortcut for Move Down. You can also drag and drop to reorder an item.

Note! The access keys will be stored encrypted in Soluling project file. However the ecryption that is used is not strong.

Use machine translation only if there is no perfect match in the translation memory

If checked, machine translation is not used if there is no perfect match in the translation memory. If unchecked, machine translation is used simultaneously with the translation memory. Finding a perfect match from a translation memory is a very fast operation. Checking this does not delay machine translation finding that much but may save you the unnecessary machine translation costs.
