DeepL Glossaries |
Use this dialog to edit DeepL Glossaries. DeepL glossaries are terminology items that you can create. Once created you can tell DeepL to use a glossary when DeepL translates text. The glossaries are stored into DeepL's cloud. This dialog makes it easy to create new glossaries, view the content of the glossaries and delete glossaries you no longer need. Each DeepL glossary has only one language pair (e.g. from English to German). DeepL glossaries can use only certain language pairs. Not all languages are supported.
Click Create to create a glossary. The operation first lets you select a glossary file that contains the glossary content. Then the operation creates a DeepL glossary or glossaries having the same entries as the file you selected.
Click View to view the content of the selected glossary. You cannot edit it. If you want to change the glossary, first edit the entries in the glossary file and create a new DeepL glossary by clicking the Create button.
Click Remove to delete the DeepL glossary. Note, this completely deletes the glossary from the DeepL’s cloud. If you want to undelete it you need to create a new one by clicking the Create button.
Once you have created the glossary, use the language dialog (right-click mouse the translation column header and choose Properties...) to turn the glossary on. After that, DeepL uses that glossary whenever you translate that specific language.
Note! The glossaries in DeepL are account specific. If you set the glossary in your project and the share the project with your translator and she is using a different DeepL account, she might get an error. To fix this she has to either remove the glossary from the language's properties or to create her own glossary and then update the glossary in the language properties.
