Translation Memory Dialog - Tools

Use this sheet to perform the import, export, backup, and clear operation for the selected translation memory.

	Export data from the translation memory Export data from the translation memory into a file. Use this if you want to export your translation memory into another file format, such as TMX.
	Backup the translation memory into a file Backup all translation memory data into a translation memory backup file. Use this if you want to later restore the translation memory either on this machine or another machine. The backup file is an XML file.
	Restore from backup. This replaces the current content of the translation memory with the content of a backup file Restores a backed up translation memory from a backup file. Use this if you want to restore the translation memory you have previously backed up. Replaces the current translation memory data with the data in the back file.
	Create a report from the translation memory Creates a translation memory report file. Use this if you want to view the statistical data of your translation memory. The data is shown on your default web browser.
	Clear the translation memory Clears the current translation memory. Use this if you want to remove all data from the current translation memory. All data is permanently removed.

If you want to move your current translation memory from one database into another (even a different type of database), follow these steps. At first, backup your current translation memory into a backup file. Next, create a new translation memory (that is initially empty) and finally restore the backup file into new translation memory.
