Use this sheet to select the target languages and the original language. Original language is the language that is used in the original file or database. Target languages are the languages where you translate the project to.
The tree contains the available languages. If a language is spoken in more than one country, then the top level item contains country specific variants. For example Dutch, is spoken in the Netherlands and Belgium, so the Dutch node contains Netherlands and Belgium sub-nodes. If you want that every language contains a country-specific node right-click the tree and check Show single countries menu.
By default, the language list contains all the languages supported up to the most recent Windows version. The list is complete even if you run some older Windows version but run a recent Soluling. If the language you want to use is not in the list, you can add it by clicking the Add language button between available and project language lists. A language you add yourself is called a custom language, and you can edit it by clicking the Edit button or even remove it by clicking the Remove button (garbage can button between language lists). You cannot edit or delete the default languages, but you can view them by clicking the Edit button.
As custom languages, you can also add custom countries and custom variants. To add a custom country, select a language, and then click the Add country button.
Contains the languages you have selected to be the target languages of the project. You can add a new language by dragging a language from the Available languages tree to the Project languages list or by selecting a language in Available languages and clicking the right arrow. You can remove a project language by pressing the Delete button or by clicking the right red X button. You can move the order of the project languages by selecting a language and then clicking either the up or down arrow.
Specifies the language that has been used in the file you are about to add to the project. If the file uses two or more languages, select Unknown or multiple languages (the first item in the list).
Click the scissors icon to change the current country-specific original language id into a country neutral id. For example, if the original language is English (United States), clicking the button makes it English. The button is visible only if the current language id is a country-specific id.
Check Remember selected languages to remember the language selections to be used as the default values in your next project.
